Complete typed transcriptions are available for all of the in-flight voice
recordings made on the C-131A
in SCAR-B. These "blow-by-blow" accounts provide detailed information on what
transpired on each flight. However, because of their large bulk (870 pages!),
these transcriptions are not reproduced here.
Instead, we give below typed transcriptions
of the summaries for each flight that crew members recorded aboard the
aircraft toward the end of each flight. Although subsequent data analyses
might reveal important aspects of a flight, and of the data collected, that
were unknown to crew members at the time of the flight, the following summaries
have the advantage of spontaneity.
- In the transcripts, the participants are identified
by initials.
- Requests for copies of the complete transcriptions for specific
